Solve An Art Heist At The Kravis Center 
Can you crack the world’s most famous unsolved mystery? Give it a try with the Art Heist experience, a socially distanced true crime show where groups move through five walkable locations to gather clues around the Kravis Center running from Thursday, April 29 – Sunday, May 16. Art Heist is based on the biggest art heist in history that took place on March 18, 1990, when two thieves disguised as police officers entered Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in the middle of the night. Tickets start at $41.50. For more information, visit kravis.org.  

Take A Breath Of Fresh Air At The Four Arts Gardens

Aloha Islanders Hawaiian Entertainment Performance

To kick off Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, join us on the Downtown West Palm Beach Waterfront for a special evening performance. Enjoy an action-packed show filled with traditional dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and New Zealand!

City of West Palm Beach Proclamation  
Monday, May 3 at 5 p.m.
At the City Commission meeting, West Pam Bech Mayor Keith A. James will issue a special proclamation declaring the month of May as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and the City will host a series of events in celebration in May. 

Mandel Public Library

The Mandel Public Library will observe the month with a series of FREE events for adults and children. The events celebrate the culture, heritage, histories, cultural diversity and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and offers educational opportunities surrounding the challenges they face.  

Korean-English Bilingual Storytime 
Saturday, May 15 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. 
Partake in a family-fun Korean-English Bilingual Storytime for families with children up to 5 years old. Join the Children’s Librarian, Ms. Jin, for music and movement, songs, rhymes, art, and of course, great books in Korean and English in the library courtyard. Children will receive a take-home arts and crafts kit. KidSpace Book Club: “Front Desk” by Kelly Yang

In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, kids in grades 3-5 are invited to read and discuss the book “Front Desk” by Kelly Yang, winner of the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature. Yang’s own childhood experiences of life as a Chinese immigrant to America are woven into the unforgettably resilient character of Mia Tang.
