Transportation Update
The City of West Palm Beach has launched West Palm Move, a public transit network combining a frequent, all-electric fixed route with app-based on-demand rides. West Palm Move replaces the former RideWPB pilot service, which ended May 31, 2026.
Riders can use West Palm Move for fixed-route service, on-demand rides, or a combination of both. Questions about West Palm Move should be directed to the City of West Palm Beach Parking & Mobility Department at (561) 822-1500.
Road Closures & Event Traffic
Downtown events, construction, markets, and special activities may impact traffic patterns, parking availability, and road access.

Current Road Closures
North Dixie Highway Loading Zone Relocation
- Beginning Wednesday, September 23, the City of West Palm Beach will begin work to relocate the loading zone on N. Dixie Highway between Clematis Street and Datura Street. The project will improve traffic flow by moving loading activity out of the travel lane.Work is anticipated to take place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., through October 19, weather permitting.
Asian Glow Food Festival (Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27)
- South Clematis Street from North Narcissus Avenue to North Flagler Drive will be closed from 7 a.m.-2 p.m.

West Palm Move is the City of West Palm Beach’s public transit network, combining a frequent, all-electric fixed route with app-based on-demand rides. The service is designed to help residents, employees, and visitors move around West Palm Beach without needing to drive and park for every trip.
Fixed-Route Service
West Palm Move’s fixed-route service runs between the Norton Museum of Art and Northwood Village, with service through downtown and nearby destinations.
Best for: Quick north-south trips, downtown access, CityPlace, Clematis Street, Northwood Village, Palm Beach Atlantic University, Good Samaritan Medical Center, and Norton Museum of Art.
Frequency: Every 10 minutes
Fare: $1 per ride
Payment: Tap to pay onboard with a credit/debit card, phone, or smartwatch. Cash is not accepted.

On-Demand Service
West Palm Move’s on-demand service allows riders to book rides through the West Palm Move app or by calling (561)264-0458.
Best for: Short local trips within the West Palm Move on-demand service area, especially when a fixed-route stop is not the best fit.

Circuit is a DDA-supported on-demand ride service operating within the downtown service area. The service provides a convenient way to travel between participating downtown destinations, including restaurants, shops, offices, cultural attractions, transit connections, and parking areas.
Best for: Short downtown trips, car-free connections, visitors, employees, residents, and riders moving within the Circuit service zone.
Hours: Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Fare: Fares vary by pickup and drop-off location and number of passengers. Rides average around $2.

Rose Trolley
Rose Trolley offers on-demand rides connecting riders to local destinations throughout West Palm Beach and surrounding areas, with rides requested through the Rose Trolley LLC app or by calling 561-589-6377.
Best for: Limited on-demand trips, especially for riders planning local downtown and nearby trips.

West: Parts of Australian Avenue and Gaines Park, including Roosevelt Estates North and South

How fares work:
Rose Trolley service is organized into three fare zones. Zone 1 is the northernmost zone, Zone 2 is the middle zone, and Zone 3 is the southernmost zone. Fares are based on the zones included in your trip. For example, a ride from Zone 1 to Zone 3 is $3.

Park Once and Walk
Downtown West Palm Beach is designed to be explored on foot. Park once, then walk to restaurants, shops, offices, waterfront attractions, hotels, nightlife, cultural destinations, and community events.
Many downtown destinations are within a 10- to 20-minute walk of each other, including Clematis Street, the waterfront, CityPlace, the Brightline station, the Palm Tran Intermodal Transit Center, and nearby dining and entertainment areas.
City-Managed Garages
Downtown West Palm Beach offers City-managed garages and metered parking throughout the downtown area. Rates, availability, and special event pricing may vary, so visitors should always check posted signs, garage details, and City parking information before parking.

Transit Connections
Brightline
Brightline provides high-speed rail service connecting West Palm Beach with other major South Florida destinations, including Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, Miami, and Orlando.
The Brightline West Palm Beach Station is located at 501 Evernia Street and is within walking distance of downtown destinations, restaurants, offices, hotels, and entertainment.
