It’s officially spooky season, and DowntownWPB knows how to get in the spirit! Explore spooktacular events, haunted happenings, and ghoulish gatherings. Here is your guide to all things eerie and exciting in DowntownWPB! 

Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns Pumpkins (October 1-31): What’s more fun during the fall than visiting a pumpkin patch? Enjoy some family fun at Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns, where you can choose the perfect pumpkin, bring the kids to play on a bouncy slide, go pumpkin bowling and make memories with your loved ones! The pumpkin patch is open at 419 Lakeview Avenue from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. through Oct. 31.

Affinity Photo: Let’s Make Something Spooky! (October 19): Learn how to make your photos look scary for Halloween! See the tools and features Affinity Photo has to offer to make some delightfully scary photos. Click Here for more information and to register.

Spooky – Crafternoon for Kids: Pumpkin Decorating (October 21): Celebrate the spookiest time of the year by decorating your own Styrofoam pumpkin! While supplies last. Space is limited, and in-person sign-up begins in KidSpace at 1:30 p.m. Click Here for more information or call (561) 868-7703. 

Barbie Halloween Crawl (October 21): Get ready to paint the town pink during Barbie Halloween Crawl on Saturday, October 21! From 8 p.m.-1 a.m., join your fellow Barbie aficionados for Barbie-inspired cocktails, drink specials, impromptu Barbie-themed games, and more! Registration is at Camelot, located at 114 S. Emo Night Brooklyn (October 21): Celebrate spooky season with your fellow elder emos during Emo Night Brooklyn at Respectable Street on Saturday, October 21! Starting at 10 p.m., mosh, stage drive and crowd surf all night long to all the emo anthems. Click Here for more information and to purchase tickets.  

Spooky – Preschool Halloween Play (October 25): Head to the Mandel Public Library on Wednesday, October 25 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. for an original, “not-so-spooky” Halloween play and Trick-or-Treating inside the library. Costumes are encouraged! Click Here for more information or call 561-868-7703. 

West Palm Beach’s Murdering Postmistress (October 26): Head to the Mandel Public Library on Thursday, October 26 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. for historian Ginger Pedersen’s exciting lecture about West Palm Beach’s Murdering Postmistress: Lena Clarke. Lena Clarke was many things- writer, poet, composer, postmistress-murderer. This sordid tale of twisted love, the occult, grand theft, and murder takes place during the 1920s West Palm Beach boom. Clematis By Fright featuring The Spazmatics (October 26): Get ready to party like it’s 1989 during Clematis By Fright on Thursday, October 26! From 6-9 p.m., enjoy a fun performance by The Spazmatics, as well as costume contests and fun activities for the whole family. FREE to attend. Click Here for more information. 

Haunting History (October 26): The historians at the Historical Society of Palm Beach County are taking the third annual Haunting History to Woodlawn Cemetery under a nearly full moon on Thursday, October 26. From 7:30-9 p.m., listen to chilling tales of murder and mayhem surrounding the lives and death of local pioneers laid to rest at Woodlawn. Moon Crawl: Clematis Takeover Zombie Apocalypse (October 27): Join the Clematis Zombie Apocalypse on Friday, October 27 during the 3rd Annual Moon Crawl! From 8 p.m.-1 a.m., roam the streets while enjoying drink specials at multiple venues with 300 other crawlers. Registration will be at Clematis Social, located at 219 Clematis Street. Tarot 101 Workshop (October 28): Ever wanted to learn how to read Tarot cards or learn what individual cards mean? Come by the Mandel Public Library’s workshop on Saturday, October 28 with local Tarot Grandmaster Christiana Gaudet. Spooky – Family Movie (October 28): Families with kids of all ages are welcome to watch a fun, not-too-spooky movie in celebration of Halloween on Saturday, October 28 from 2-4 p.m. Coloring sheets and crayons will be provided. Nightmare At The 13th Floor (October 28): Celebrate Halloween this year at Treehouse, the highest rooftop bar in DowntownWPB on Friday, October 28! Wear your best costume for a chance to win some AMAZING prizes from Canopy by Hilton West Palm Beach Downtown! The festivities are from 8 p.m.-midnight. General admission is $10. MoonFest Creepy Crawl (October 28): Prepare to get spooky at the Moonfest Bar Crawl and Costume Contest on Saturday, October 28 on the 500 Block of Clematis Street! Palm Beach Opera Presents – Haunted Opera (October 30): Even the opera house isn’t immune to ghosts and the supernatural! Join the Palm Beach Opera on Monday, October 30 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. as they discuss the “Haunted Opera.” Learn about some of the operas that have a haunted and supernatural tale within them! Spooky Canva Collage (October 31): Learn the basics of Canva while creating a fun, spooky collage! Canva is an online graphic design platform that you can use for various creative projects, including content creation for social media and presentations.
