Halloween is almost here, and Downtown West Palm Beach is getting in the spirit! We’ve compiled a list of festivities, from bar crawls to costume contests and other happenings you won’t want to miss!
Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns Pumpkins (October 1-31): What’s more fun during the fall than visiting a pumpkin patch? Enjoy some family fun at Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns, where you can choose the perfect pumpkin, bring the kids to play on a bouncy slide, go pumpkin bowling and make memories with your loved ones! The pumpkin patch is open at 419 Lakeview Avenue from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. through Oct. 31.
Creepy Cocktail & Spooky Charcuterie Workshop (October 12): Enjoy a ghouls’ night out during the Creepy Cocktail & Spooky Charcuterie Workshop on Wednesday, October 12! From 6-8 p.m., learn how to create (and sip!) a spooky cocktail with mixologist maven Jules Aron and build a Halloween-themed “Jarcuterie” with The Board Babes. Haunting History (October 13, October 20): Join the historians at the Historical Society of Palm Beach County on Friday, October 13 and Friday, October 20 for an intriguing journey through Palm Beach County’s past featuring harrowing murders and mayhem. Screen on the Green (October 14): Grab the kids and head to the DowntownWPB Waterfront on Friday, October 14 for a screening of The Addams Family 2 during Screen on the Green! The event is from 7-10 p.m. and is free to attend. Click Here to watch the trailer.
History and Haunts of Yesteryear Village (October 15): Join the Mandel Library on Saturday, October 15 for a trip to Yesteryear Village, a living history park where interpreters share their stories about life before 1940. Ghost Hunting 101 (October 15): Learn how to conduct your own ghost investigation with Paranormal Researchers of South Florida on Saturday, October 15 from 3-4 p.m. The lesson includes equipment demonstrations. No registration is required. For more information, call (561) 868-7701.
Artist Spotlight: Freddy Hennevelt (October 18): Create a spooky Halloween clay figurine with local artist Freddy Hennevelt on Tuesday, October 18 from 12-2 p.m.! Registration is required and begins on Tuesday, October 11 at 10 a.m. For more information or to register, call (561) 868-7701.
Clematis By Fright featuring The Spazmatics (October 27): Get ready to party like it’s 1989 during Clematis By Fright on Thursday, October 27! From 6-9 p.m., enjoy a fun performance by The Spazmatics, as well as costume contests and fun activities for the whole family.
Fright Night Halloween Rooftop Party (October 28): Celebrate Halloween this year at Treehouse, the highest rooftop bar in DowntownWPB on Friday, October 28! Wear your best costume for a chance to win some AMAZING prizes from Canopy by Hilton West Palm Beach Downtown! The festivities are from 6 p.m.-midnight. General admission is $20 and includes a complimentary Halloween cocktail.
Bodega De Los Muertos (October 28, 29): Don your deadliest attire and dance like your life depends on it at Bodega Taqueria y Tequila on Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 from 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Admission is FREE. Click Here for table reservations.
Haunted History of Lake Worth Playhouse (October 29): Explore the haunted history of the Lake Worth Playhouse at the Mandel Library on Saturday, October 29 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Built in 1924 by Lucien and Clarence Oakly, the Lake Worth Playhouse has hosted everything from silent films to Broadway musicals. A Wicked Affair Halloween Ball (October 29): The Ben, Autograph Collection presents the 1st annual Halloween Ball! Join us on Saturday, October 29 at 8 p.m. for a high-end costume party with haunted tunes, a deadly dance floor and lots of “finger” foods. You won’t want to miss this Wicked Affair. Kravis Center Halloween Experience (October 29): Experience the world’s greatest organist Cameron Carpenter performing live scoring during a screening of Rupert Julian’s 1925 silent horror film The Phantom of the Opera.
