Coffee Anyone?

Who doesn’t love a cup of joe? The smell! The taste! It can bring you back to a memory or just by scoping out a new location, it can make a new memory for you right here in Downtown West Palm Beach! Here are some of my top picks to get “Perked Up”.

Evernia Coffeehouse (located at 300 S. Dixie Hwy.) is off the beaten path tucked away in a historic professional arts building and one I consider a hidden treasure. Order your cold brew on tap, relax and grab a book for your reading pleasure or play chess with a new friend. Either way, this is one unique coffee shop!

Johan’s Joe Swedish Coffee House and Café (located at 401 S. Dixie Hwy.) is the newest kid on the block. With a love for South Florida, Nicklaus and Bernt Thuden wanted to bring their version of a modern Swedish café here to Downtown West Palm Beach. Not only is the coffee fine, but the décor is absolutely beautiful!  This indeed is a must for your next business power lunch, with delicious baked goods, gourmet sandwiches, salads and soups!

Subculture Coffee (located at 509 Clematis St.) is another very popular gathering place for our ever growing community! Subculture is known for roasting their own in-house coffee. So curl up to a good book, have a dance break with a stranger and check out all the cool artwork along their walls.

C Street Café (located at 319 Clematis St.) is not only known for their amazing breakfast and lunches but this is also the place if you’re an aspiring artist and want to be seen! Every Monday night, enjoy the talents of local artists giving their all at “Open Mic Night.” On Thursday nights I like to relax and take in the smooth sounds for “Jazz Nights.” Whatever night you choose will be filled with great people, amazing talent, and some if the best coffee and delights.

Don’t forget to take photos and share your memories in DowntownWPB.

Until next time, I’ll see you in Downtown West Palm Beach!
