Marinera is practically the national dance of Peru, born of Spanish and Andean roots and now well known throughout Latin America. Here in Florida, the folkloric dance group Marinera en el Mundo Florida has been spreading the love, holding an annual marinera competition in Broward County. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, they will present two dances.
