Small Business Saturday: Five Retailers to Shop in Downtown West Palm Beach

Your guide to unique, independent retailers in the center of paradise

Downtown West Palm Beach is known for its vibrant nightlife and waterfront views, but it’s also home to independent retailers that define the city’s character. We encourage you to shop, dine, and explore the local scene, knowing that every purchase supports a local business owner. From a vintage clothing shop to a home goods boutique, these five small businesses offer a curated shopping experience you won’t find in big-box stores.

Pioneer Linens

210 N. Clematis Street

Pioneer Linens has been family-owned and operated since 1912, and they have an elegant showroom on Clematis Street. The company specializes in luxury bedding, bath accessories, and table linens that will transform your home. Whether you are looking for Egyptian cotton sheets, embroidered table cloths, or a unique gift for a host, their knowledgeable staff can guide you. A Downtown West Palm Beach mainstay, Pioneer Linens sets a high standard for quality home goods.

Ingenue Palm Beach

410 Evernia Street

Tucked away on Evernia Street, Ingenue Palm Beach, owned by Cristina Marulanda, brings a fresh, international perspective to the downtown fashion scene. This contemporary boutique specializes in bridal, evening, and cocktail wear, making it the go-to destination for your next special occasion. The store’s collection balances sophisticated elegance with modern trends, offering dresses that feel both luxurious and personal. If you’re in search of a special occasion dress, it’s the ideal spot to find a show-stopping outfit while enjoying an intimate, personalized styling experience.

Kismet Vintage

540 Clematis Street

For those who love the thrill of the hunt, Kismet Vintage offers one-of-a-kind, retro fashion right in the heart of downtown. This “groovy” shop curates a fun, eclectic mix of vintage clothing, accessories, and vinyl records that span decades. Set aside a day to pursue the clothing racks, which offer everything from perfectly broken-in denim and band tees to flowy, vintage dresses. The vibe is undeniably cool and artistic, making it the perfect stop for anyone looking to add a statement piece to their wardrobe that tells a story.

Bechtel Jewelers

215 S. Olive Avenue

Established in 1930, Bechtel Jewelers is one of the oldest family-run businesses in the area, currently operated by the third generation of the Bechtel family. Located in the historic Wagg Building, this shop specializes in unique, high-quality craftsmanship. Their selection focuses on fine American and European pieces, including intricate handmade designs and rare estate jewelry. The atmosphere is personal and unhurried, perfect for customers seeking engagement rings or heirloom gifts. Shopping here supports a legacy of local expertise and ensures you walk away with something truly timeless.

Katrina’s Boutique

103 S. Olive Avenue

Located just steps off Clematis Street, Katrina’s Boutique is a destination for fashion-forward shoppers looking to make a statement. Owned by fashion and retail expert Katrina Kovtoun, this shop specializes in bold, confidence-boosting styles. The collection is defined by its “global flair,” offering everything from sleek clubwear and chic festival attire to unique resort pieces you won’t see on everyone else. Whether you need a head-turning outfit for a night out or distinct accessories to elevate your look, Katrina’s Boutique offers a curated shopping experience designed to make you feel (and look) good.

A guide to one of the best farmers’ markets in the country.

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket is back for its 31st season, and it’s bigger than ever. Regularly voted the #1 farmers market in the U.S., this beloved Saturday ritual transforms the Centennial Square on Clematis Street into a vibrant community hub. This season is the largest yet, boasting over 150 vendors, live music, a rotating Pop-Up Wine Shop, and the thrilling Master Chef Showcase. To help you plan your perfect Saturday, we’ve rounded up the top five things to look forward to.

The Biggest and Longest Season Ever

This year, the GreenMarket is both the largest and longest in its 31-year history. Celebrating the theme “From the Ground Up,” the season runs through May 30, 2026, and features a record-breaking 150 vendors. This includes 45 brand-new additions joining the community, alongside over 100 returning favorites. You’ll also find 14 “legacy vendors” who have been with the market for more than 15 years. This massive collection of farmers, growers, and makers ensures an incredible variety of fresh produce, specialty foods, artisan goods, flowers, and treats every Saturday.

The New “Sprouts Program”

In line with its theme of “From the Ground Up,”  the market is launching the new Sprouts Program to nurture the next generation of local entrepreneurs. This initiative is dedicated to giving new, up-and-coming businesses a platform to grow. Each Saturday, a different new local business will be featured in the Sprouts tent, giving them invaluable hands-on experience and a chance to showcase their unique products to thousands of market visitors. Over the course of the season, 13 different local businesses will get their start, allowing visitors to support the smallest and newest makers.

The Master Chef Showcase Returns

The culinary competition is back! The popular GreenMarket Master Chef Showcase returns this season, taking place on the second Saturday of each month. This exciting, free-to-observe competition pits talented local chefs against each other in a thrilling head-to-head battle. Each showcase will feature a rotating category, and the winner of each round will advance to the finals at the end of the season. It’s the perfect spot to watch the pros work their magic and see who will be crowned this year’s Master Chef.

Hands-On Weekly Workshops

The market is now a place to learn a new skill with exclusive Pop-Up Workshops. These hands-on experiences are designed to spark creativity and add a special element to your weekend. The rotating schedule features a huge variety of activities. One week, you might find the market’s first-ever fitness class, a 45-minute Mat Pilates session. Another option is to join a festive “Paint & Sip” class to create a snowman decoration, or attend a live cooking demo, like learning to make the perfect Fattoush salad from a vendor.

A Curated Pop-Up Wine Shop

You can now find a new favorite vintage at the GreenMarket’s dedicated Pop-Up Wine Shop. Each week, this curated experience allows guests to explore and sample a rotating selection of wine portfolios. One week, you might be learning about California’s Central Coast, tasting six wines from cool-climate Chardonnays to robust Paso Robles reds. You’ll learn about the unique soils and climates that influence each style, and you’ll have the opportunity to purchase your favorite bottles directly on-site.

And for those who want to ditch the cars and roll in, check out the complimentary Bike Valet at 143 N. Narcissus Avenue. It works like a coat check for bikes: hand over your ride, receive a claim ticket, and your bike waits safely while you enjoy all GreenMarket has to offer.
