Human Library

Saturday, October 19 | 12:30-4:30 p.m.

Mandel Public Library

3rd Floor Auditorium

Welcome to the Human Library, where you can engage in meaningful conversations that challenge stigmas and stereotypes. This unique event allows participants to borrow human “books”—volunteers who share their personal stories and experiences on a variety of topics. By breaking through the labels and expectations we place on one another, the Human Library brings together people who might not otherwise cross paths, challenges prejudices and biases, and fosters a deeper understanding of others.

Borrow Human Books

Explore our catalog of human books, who are willing to share their perspective and life story through respectful conversation. You can filter these books by topics of interest, such as race, culture, identity, homelessness, addiction, and more.

If you are interested in becoming a Human Book, please reach out to Sabrina Lolo at SLolo@DowntownWPB.com.

Schedule A Reading Session:

Reserve a time slot to borrow a human book for an engaging conversation! Each reading lasts no more than 30 minutes and accommodates up to seven readers at a time per book.

This project has been brought to you by the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority, in partnership with the West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District, The Mandel Public Library, and The Human Library Organisation.
