September 15: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage with the Historical Society of Palm Beach County
Discover the stories of 14 Hispanic residents who have helped shape Palm Beach County’s history, culture, economy and civic life through Escribiendo Nuestra Historia, presented in partnership with Latin Quarter. Guests are invited to celebrate the exhibition at a special reception from 5:30–7 p.m. Featuring photographs, biographies and newly recorded oral histories, the exhibition honors their lasting contributions while preserving their voices in the Historical Society of Palm Beach County’s permanent archives for future generations. September 24: Clematis By Night Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a lively evening of salsa, Latin dancing and cultural traditions at Clematis by Night from 6–9 p.m. Luis Manuel will bring the waterfront to life with classic salsa, traditional Cuban music and popular favorites. Guests can also savor Hispanic cuisine and margarita flights, play dominoes, watch a cigar roller and test their knowledge with Hispanic heritage trivia. Visit WPB.org for more information.

October 1-15: Collaborative Mural Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (All Day)
Head to the KidSpace at the Mandel Public Library to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by taking part in a Frida Kahlo-inspired Collaborative Wings Mural. This beautiful community project will provide a backdrop for taking pictures to remind us of Latin American culture and togetherness! Materials will be provided to create the “feathers” that connect (tessellate) to make the final two wings that represent the persevering spirit in all of us. October 4: Puerto Rican Cultural Society
Every corner of the island has its unique history, but all of Puerto Rico is united in culture and tradition. Get creative while exploring the traditions of Día de los Muertos at the Mandel Public Library from 2–3 p.m.! Learn how this meaningful Mexican celebration honors loved ones who have passed, then use a laser cutter to customize a keepsake key chain and take home a specially designed bookmark. Calling all young gardeners in grades K–5! Dig into the Latin American roots of avocados, peppers and chocolate through tasty samples, then take home free seeds to grow a piece of history in your own backyard. The fun takes place from 4:30–5:30 p.m. at the Mandel Public Library; dress to get messy, and sign up in person beginning at 4 p.m. in KidSpace, as space is limited.
