The West Palm Beach GreenMarket returns for its 27th season. This year’s theme will celebrate the market’s recent recognition as the No. 1 farmers market in the U.S., according to USA TODAY 10Best. The GreenMarket earned the prestigious recognition in April 2021 thanks to a readers’ choice poll.
USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice awards highlight the best of the best in categories such as destinations, dining, hotels, and entertainment. The City of West Palm Beach did not apply for the recognition but was independently nominated. The city’s GreenMarket, the only Floridian market included in the top 20, defeated markets from nationwide destinations, including Seattle, Boston, and Hawaii.
COVID-19 precautions will remain in place, such as hand sanitizer stations, additional space between vendor booths, and free masks upon request. All vendors and visitors are expected to follow any ongoing CDC guidelines while at the GreenMarket.
With the addition of nearly 30 new vendors raising the total vendor count to 100, it will be the largest GreenMarket since its inception almost three decades ago. The full vendor list is available on the city’s website: www.wpb.org/events.
Parking is available in City of West Palm Beach garages, which are the Clematis, Banyan, City Center, Sapodilla, and Evernia garages. The Banyan garage charges a flat $5 rate during GreenMarket hours (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.). The Evernia and City Center garages will be free until noon, current parking rates will apply afterwards. Current parking rates will apply for all other city garages during market hours. Those interested in arriving by boat can also take advantage of the city’s free public docks. The Clematis Street Dock is the closest dock to the market. Those who wish to arrive by trolley may take either the Green Yellow Line routes, a map of which is available on the Downtown Development Authority’s website. Please note, the Yellow Line route opens at 11 a.m. on Saturdays.
The West Palm Beach GreenMarket takes place on the Great Lawn (100 N. Clematis Street).
