More Than A Game: Champions in the Midst of Desegregation Special Exhibit

The 1967-68 basketball season of Roosevelt Junior-Senior High School in West Palm Beach was history in the making. Coach Floyd Andrews led an exceptional team to the first state title during integrated play. Roosevelt was the center of a community with high standards where racism was not an excuse. In 1970, it would close in the long-delayed process of desegregation. The coach, the players, and the school, in these changing times, made 1967-1968 a memorable year.
