Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration

Juneteenth has become the day to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States and celebrate the culture with music, food, arts, and more! Subculture Group and Hospitality Helping Hands want to embrace this culture by hosting a Juneteenth celebration for all ages.

When: June 18, 2022 from 3-11 p.m.

Subculture Group has partnered with the Boys and Girls Club, the City of Pahokee, local schools and churches on several events in the past. We strive to create a fun and safe event for kids of all ages by providing games, sports activities, and free food.

Schedule of events:

3 p.m. Check-In

4 p.m. Performances TBA

5 p.m. Hula-hoop Showdown. Show us your best Hula-hoop moves.

6 p.m. Dinnertime for all participating kids. Choose between pizza or tacos for your Subculture dinner. Snow cones and popcorn also offered all day.

7 p.m. Performances TBA

8 p.m. Live Performances by Matt Brown and J-Desir
