5 Picture-Perfect Locations in the West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District

There are few things that make your Instagram photos pop more than art! The murals, sculptures, and beauty throughout our community make for the perfect backdrop to your photos. Fill your day with art, culture, and don’t forget your camera as you make your way around the West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District. Check out our list of some of the best photo-ops:
- The Norton Museum of Art Entrance, 1450 S. Dixie Highway
Starting off the list is The Norton Museum of Art, specifically the entrance where you’re greeted by a 19-foot-tall sculpture standing in a shallow reflection pond. The sculpture, named “Typewriter Eraser, Scale X”, was originally made by Claes Oldenburg’s and Coosje van Bruggen in 1999. It was brought to the museum in early 2019 when the museum reopened after 7 months of renovations and expansions. This museum does not lack beautiful pieces of art and photo-ops that will have your phone exhausted from snapping pictures (so be sure you arrive with a fully charged battery!).
- Palm Beach Dramaworks Mural, 201 Clematis Street
As you make your way a few minutes north, you’ll stumble upon Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra’s “Yorick’s Skull”. Kobra brought a twist to a theatrical classic with his 19-foot-tall mural in 2015 as part of the Canvas Outdoor Museum project. The mural is inspired by the Shakespearian play “Hamlet” and the Palm Beach Dramaworks theater where the mural lives on the facade. The vibrant colors capture the attention of all passersby and create eye-catching scenery for a quick pic!
- Flagler Museum Pavilion, 1 Whitehall Way
Cross the bridge and stop at the edge of the Intracoastal to view the elegance and grandeur that is Henry Flagler’s Gilded Age estate. For memorable photos, visit the Flagler Pavilion in the museum that houses Flagler’s private railcar. The tall windows that surround the building allow the South Floridian sunshine to fill the room with light which creates an enhanced ambiance. The Pavilion was built in the style of a 19th Century railway palace and is the first public Beaux Arts-style building built in the nation in over 60 years.
- Four Arts Sculpture Garden, 100 Four Arts Plaza
Just south of the Flagler Museum, you can spend the afternoon among the sculptures at the Four Arts Gardens. With a variety of world-renowned sculptures and works of art, fountains, foliage, and gardens… every corner is picturesque. Escape to the tranquility and exploration without ever having to leave the Arts & Entertainment District!
- Love Conquers ‘Wall’, 1401 Clare Avenue
End your photo-fun journey with a message of love. The “Love Conquers Wall” mural uses typography and graffiti mixed art to catch the eye of all visitors. The pink and black themed wall was created in 2020 by local artist Renda Writer as an expression of love and unity for the community. The piece of art is a must-see while visiting the district that will add vibrancy and expression to your social feeds.
Honorable Mention: Einstein Wall, 509 Clematis Street
This one is a given! Did you even visit West Palm Beach if you didn’t pose alongside Albert Einstein’s colorful mural? The iconic piece of art was created by Eduardo Kobra in 2015 in the Subculture Coffee alleyway.
