31 Days in #DowntownWPB

One of the greatest things about living in Downtown West Palm Beach is the endless opportunity for entertainment on any given day. Combine those typical opportunities with an incredible schedule of special holiday events, and your December becomes pretty busy with happenings. It can be tough to keep track of what’s going on even if you do have an incredible memory.

The last thing we want to do is create paralysis of analysis. That’s why this holiday season, we want to give you the gift of simplicity. Every day throughout the month of December, we’ll share one suggestion of something for you to try in #DowntownWPB. No multiple choice. No eenie-meenie. Just one single opportunity for you to take advantage of. As we make our suggestions on social media each day, they’ll also be added to this blog.  Life can be stressful enough around the holidays, and finding a way to enjoy yourself shouldn’t be.

With that in mind, here are the things you should do over the next 31 days in #DowntownWPB:

One year after the November 9, 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall, artist Edwina Sandys, granddaughter of Winston Churchill, introduced her “Breakthrough” sculpture to a crowd of 7,000 people gathered on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. The 11-foot-high by 32-foot-long structure, perhaps the most important monument to be constructed on American soil since the Vietnam War Memorial, was created from actual sections of the Berlin Wall. Now it is on display for the first time in the state of Florida right here in Downtown West Palm Beach’s Paul Fisher Downtown Gallery; located at 218 Clematis St.
