12 Things we’re thankful for in #DowntownWPB

Ah yes, Thanksgiving is finally here. For most people, that means a day of family, friends, feasting, football and resting up for Black Friday sales. In the spirit of reflecting on things for which we’re truly grateful, we’ve put together a list of 12 things we’re thankful for in Downtown West Palm Beach.

1. Booming Business

1. Booming Business

With established locations experiencing continued success and new operations constantly looking to join the downtown fold, it’s safe to say business is flourishing in Downtown West Palm Beach. That’s something we can all be thankful for.

2. Diverse Dining

2. Diverse Dining

You’ve heard the expression that you can’t please everyone, but the Downtown dining scene begs to differ. Looking for vegan or vegetarian offerings? You can find them here. Want a burger that will blow your mind? There are a few places here that should do the trick. In the mood for Mexican? Italian? Asian? French? Thai? Greek? Thankfully, no matter what you’re in the mood for, you can get it right here in Downtown West Palm Beach.

3. Outdoor Events

3. Outdoor Events

We’re grateful to host some of the biggest and best outdoor events in the region, right in our own backyard. The Downtown West Palm Beach Waterfront is home to SunFest, one of Florida’s largest outdoor music festivals, Palm Beach County’s longest-running green market and one of the biggest Independence Day bashes in the entire state, just to name a few.

4. Free Live Music

4. Free Live Music

Sure, SunFest only comes around once a year, but you can enjoy live music for free any night of the week in Downtown West Palm Beach.

5. Thursdays

5. Thursdays

Free live music means you can turn any night of the week into a celebration, but on Thursdays, you’ll get a whole lot of help at Clematis By Night. Most places view Thursday as the final hurdle before hitting the finish line, but we like to think of it more as the starting point.

6. Plenty of Parking (even for your bike)

6. Plenty of Parking

With all that’s happening on a regular basis, you’d think that getting into Downtown West Palm Beach and finding a place to park would be a nightmare. Thankfully, it isn’t.  Public parking garages on almost every block and free street parking in the evenings and on weekends take the headache out of having fun here. And if your preferred method of transportation is by bicycle, don’t worry – there’s plenty of places for you to stash your ride as well.

7. Everything’s in Walking Distance

7. Everythings in walking distance

Once you make it Downtown, you won’t need a car for anything. Everything you could need or want – retail stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, theaters, bars, clubs, restaurants, gyms, spas and more – is available within walking distance of one another.

8. Trolleys

8. Trolleys

Of course, just because something is within walking distance doesn’t mean you’ll always want to walk. If only there were a way for you to get a ride from point A to point B without having to pay for it….Oh wait, there is. The Downtown Trolley service makes runs along three different routes, picking up passengers throughout the week. Not a bad plan B!

9. The Arts

9. The Arts

One of those trolley routes is the newly established Orange Line, also known as the Arts and Entertainment “Trolley Express.” Although the Arts and Entertainment District itself is new, the dedication to arts and culture in West Palm Beach has been alive for decades. We’re fortunate to be in a place that combines bustling business and a vibrant nightlife with an appreciation for the visual and performing arts.

10. Proximity to Beautiful Beaches

10. Proximity to Beautiful Beaches

Sometimes you’re not looking for something to do, you’re looking for someplace to do nothing. Fortunately, we’re just minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.

11. Climate. Climate. Climate.

11. Climate

There’s a saying in real estate that gets thrown around a lot, “Location. Location. Location.” One of the most amazing things about Downtown West Palm Beach is the climate we live in; it’s one with perpetually warm weather. This CNN map from last week should remind us all not to take that for granted.

12. YOU

12. You

Above all else, what we are most thankful for in Downtown West Palm Beach is you! Without the amazing community of people and the enthusiastic visitors we host throughout the year, none of the items listed above would mean a thing. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
